As part of our growing international sales team, you will be focusing primarily in developing and scaling our business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Your key objective will be to identify potential customers and lead the sales process in order to build a network of leads, and sign contracts in your territory.
Both independently and with the aid of local sales partners, the Sales Executive will be capable of using their previous focused SaaS experience to close business.
This will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities :
Define and implement, with your manager and the technical team, a sales strategy adapted to your territory
Develop high quality market research jointly with the rest of the Akur8 team
Network and promote Akur8 during local events related to insurance and technology
Identify, prospect, and engage decision makers for new opportunities
Lead discovery sessions with clients to understand their challenges and objectives, and prioritise opportunities
Prepare commercial proposals, pitch to and negotiate with C-Level executives
Build strong, long-lasting relationships with strategic prospects and clients
Think out of the box, suggesting new ideas and approaches to improve our product, based on client expectations
You will preferably be based in Munich. Travelling for business generation and development, and participation to events will be required.
We're looking for and motivated professional who can demonstrate a track record in sales of complex SaaS products (long sales cycle), a passion for challenges, new market ventures, fast moving organisations and out of the box thinking.
In order to be considered for this position you must respond to the following criteria :
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
You have 4 to 8 years B2B sales experience or account management
You have worked in a technology company, consulting firm, or (re)insurance company or brokerage.
HARD SKILLS:
You have a ‘pioneer’ mindset, and like opening new markets, possessing the agility and adaptability required to open doors and interact with CUO/CTO/Risk Management teams
You have a track record of meeting or exceeding quota
You have a capacity for detailed analysis and for converging to detailed and actionable plans
You have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with experience selling to senior executives
You are familiar with sales protocols and SaaS company processes, use of CRMs, Slack communication
You have a strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes
You know how to build an effective and actionable account business strategy
You understand how to work with technical teams and navigate a global company.

You are empathetic, humble and trustworthy
You have personal drive for high performance delivery in a fast-paced environment
You have a high degree of emotional intelligence that allows you to perform both within your team and with clients
You are flexible and adaptable. You are comfortable dealing with multiple topics
You have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both successes and challenges
You possess the level-headedness required to close business for both smaller (100k - 300k) and larger (1m - 1.2m) contracts
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
You possess excellent communication skills in English and are at native level in German
In the international context of the company, any additional languages are a definite bonus
BONUS SKILLS:
Experience working at a SaaS company
Technical fluency on topics such as cloud architecture, API and integration, IT project delivery.
P&C insurance industry experience
