Voxel is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of IT to lead the management of our IT infrastructure and support seamless operations as the company scales. This critical role will require deep expertise in IT administration, software provisioning, a proven ability to manage business-critical systems, and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage all core business software, including licensing, updates, and integrations, to ensure optimal functionality and alignment with company needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving employee technical issues ensuring timely resolution or engaging third-party support as needed.
  • Conduct timely onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors, including provisioning and de-provisioning access to systems and devices.
  • Oversee company hardware inventory to ensure efficient distribution supporting business operations. Establish an appropriate replacement cycle for existing assets, ensuring a detailed and up-to-date inventory is kept.
  • Work with leadership to continually improve and implement scalable IT systems and policies that align with the company’s growth trajectory and security requirements.
  • Help evaluate, select, and manage relationships with IT vendors to optimize costs and performance. Collaborate with the Finance team to plan and execute appropriate expansion and renewal cycles as needed.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to implement best practices for data protection and regulatory compliance, including SOC2 and ISO.
  • In partnership with the CTO, maintain documentation to support security audits, ensuring readiness for both internal and external reviews.
  • Lead the response process for security questionnaires submitted by current or potential customers during RFPs and RFIs. Work cross-functionally to ensure responses align with Voxel’s security policies, compliance standards, and technical capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of standardized responses to common security questions, streamlining customer communication and ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years experience managing IT and business-critical systems and infrastructure for an early-stage SaaS startup.
  • Expertise in managing software tools, including G-suite, Slack, Kandji (or similar MDM), and Drata (or similar compliance software)
  • Knowledge of security best practices, data protection, and SOC 2 and ISO compliance standards.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to address challenges.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across various leaders, teams, and time zones.
